Campaign Materials
The Problem
MoPIRG was gearing up for a big summer campaign
to protect Missouri from the chip mills a destructive wood processing
industry that threatens the environment and economy of the state. They
knew their message had to be reasonable and not reactionary to get support
of citizens.
The Solution
First, we helped MoPIRG name their campaign. We
landed on the name "Save Our Roots" and created materials to
match the tone. The campaign conveyed a sense of heritage and appealed
to people using a common-sense message. It also captured both an environmental
and economic message.
The Result
The campaign resonated with citizens in Missouri.
Their first e-mail action alert generated 3 times as many responses and
support letters as any before and overwhelming citizen response helped
earn passage of the MoPIRG-sponsored protection bill.
